"A wooden dinghy is the perfect allegory for me.. it represents sustainable human-natural world interaction.
A tree is grown and harvested, with another hopefully being planted in it’s place, to build a craft that is both powered by human movement and the organic ebb and flow of the oceans tides.
‘Possum’ lay derelict on the grass, worn and weathered, full of stories untold. I had to paint her.. pay respect to a what I can only imagine is a life well spent.”
